The Digital DryBaths offer digital control over both temperature and time, eliminating the need for an external thermometer or timer. Available in three configurations, the digital dry baths offer capacity for up to four blocks. The cavities within the high grade aluminum blocks are precision-machined to match the conical size and shape of 0.5, 1.5, 2.0, 15 and 50ml tube sizes, providing unsurpassed temperature uniformity. Interchangeable aluminum heating blocks provide excellent thermal conductivity and accommodate various test tubes, cups, and plates. Depending on the combination of blocks selected, plastic spacers (36620-67) can be used to fill a half-width recess, ensuring optimal thermal performance. Most blocks come with a separate hole to accept a thermometer. Order a flexi-block to accommodate multiple size tubes, vials, or cuvettes at once. Unskirted PCR plates can be heated in either size flexi-block. Skirted microtiter plates, deep-well plates, and PCR plates can only be incubated in the triple-width version.

Anodized aluminum Dynabloc heating/mixing blocks with three segments to hold up to three different size and type of vessels at the same time. Dynabloc has 12 (15x27.6mm) holes for 1 dram vials, 8 (17x27.6mm) holes for 2 dram vials, and 4 (22x27.6mm) holes for 4 dram vials. Dynablocs should be anchored to either a 135mm (50978108) or 145mm (50983541) base plate. A T-handle extractor (50978109) should be used to remove blocks when hot.

The DryChill cooling blocks are designed to store samples safely on the lab-bench without sample degradation due to temperature increase or fluctuation. Unlike traditional ice buckets, these blocks do not require any ice and are uniquely designed to minimize condensation, resulting in convenient, mess-free cooling. Each DryChill Cooling Block utilizes a proprietary gel refrigerant, designed to maintain cold (but not freezing) temperatures for extended time periods. Once the block temperature begins to warm, the visual indicator alerts the user by changing from purple to pink color.

The EMS MyBlock series has several major advantages over traditional dry baths. They are the first digital dry baths to include advanced microprocessor controls, timed or continuous operation and a removable hinged lid. In addition, an optional external temperature feedback probe can be positioned directly inside a sample tube, providing real-time control and monitoring of temperature.
MyBlock's transparent lid promotes better temperature uniformity and minimizes stratification in the block by maintaining a warm air jacket layer while reducing energy consumption by minimizing heat loss. The hinged lid can be flipped open or easily removed (lifted off) to accommodate taller tubes.
Universal blocks accept tubes from 0.5 to 2.0 ml and, with just a quick flip to the other side, accomodate 0.2 ml tubes, PCR strips or in the dual block model only a PCR plate. Other blocks are available for tubes up to 50 ml. With 2 Quick-Flip universal block.
